Today's Equine Art - Watercolor

"Miss Legs" was a favorite of mine, and I've been sitting on it for a few years but finally decided to part with her. Foaling season is starting here in Michigan. The birth rate is down due to the slow economy, which may be for the best. I do miss seeing the usual number of baby pictures though. So this girl will always be a baby, always in that new stage of discovering the world. This painting is a nice size, 11 x 14", on good quality paper.

Today's Equine Art - Pencil ACEO

This project was fun for me, since working on small pieces in pencil is probably my favorite thing to do. I have kinda fallen in love with the whole ACEO concept. The detail involved is painstaking, but it's pretty neat how much you can actually fit into this small of an area.

I am blessed this week to be moving lots of equine art, at a time when I really need the sales. Thanks to all of you who support the arts, even in this struggling economy.

Today's Note Cards - Australian Terriers

I posted some more horse notes the other day and yesterday some German shepherds. Today I found this old watercolor of some Australian Terriers. I took a photo of the adult dog at a dog show. For some reason, I decided to paint it decimating a petunia bed with some puppies! The original is long sold, but divvied up, it makes a cute set of note cards for eBay.

Rerunning Old Art - Abyssinian, Siamese Cat

I have all these images sitting around doing nothing, so thought I would list some note cards on eBay.

This is a pen and ink drawing of Cos, an Abyssinian.

I am also listing this portrait of a Siamese.

Horse Easter Cards

My oil painting, "Pal O' Mine", with a mare and foal saying hello to a calico kitty, has translated pretty nicely into an Easter card. The colors are so spring-y. It's wishful thinking as I sit here looking out the window at a blizzard, but I know it's just around the corner. Really.

Anyway these are on eBay.
